Best ways to use these US trivia questions

A long trivia list is only fun if people can actually use it, so here’s the format I like best:

  • Start with the easy round to get everybody talking
  • Mix history, geography, and pop culture so one person does not dominate
  • Save the hardest ten for the end
  • Give one point for a correct answer, or two if someone gets it with no hints
  • Use the spoiler answers as your built-in answer key

For parties, 15 to 20 questions is usually the sweet spot. For classrooms, breaking the list into categories works better than firing off random questions back to back. For family dinners, the geography and symbols sections tend to get the best mix of kids and adults involved.
